In a recent poorly drafted publication by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, with the caption, *PDP Buries Other Political Parties As It Holds Rally In Aniocha North*, the failed Party made some remarks that can least be described as reckless, irresponsible and infantile.
Ordinarily, as a focused political party that is committed to it's agenda of righting the wrongs that the PDP has been dishing out to the good people of Aniocha North, we would have ignored them and pay more attention to our mission of giving the people of Aniocha North and Delta state in general the government that will make them proud. However, the decision to respond was taken primarily to unearth the many lies and shallow narratives for the easily misled to know how low PDP has degenerated.
In the first instance, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, should be worried about the way their campaigns and other electoral activities has become a bore to the people. The much celebrated rally at Issele-Uku was a shadow of the usual PDP and an open display of desperation orchestrated by the division among them. If there is anything kind expression for one to use in describing the ailing party, it's should be described as a *house of commotion*.
Few weeks ago, the All Progressives Congress flagged of its gubernatorial campaign in Aniocha North, three venues were designated for our gubernatorial candidate, Distinguished Senator Ovie Omo Agege and his running mate, Rt. Hon. Friday Osanebi in line with our belief in grassroots engagement. That arrangement created a platform to interact with the real voters at that level, unlike the PDP candidate that muddled up the entire local government, including the hired underage children to a venue where nothing meaningful was communicated to their brainwashed hirelings.
Their half baked media team claimed that a woman threw away her broom to avoid being mobbed by the teeming crowd. What a shameful claim! Has PDP now accepted that their members are commissioned to mob people? Has that not laid to rest what we all know that PDP is a party of angry mobs and thugs? We in the All Progressives Congress have taken note of their plans and plots to mob our members and the law enforcement agencies has been notified.
Gov. Okowa was quoted in that write up to have urged them to be wise and cast their votes for the PDP. We cannot help but to laugh at such statement from a Governor whose stock in trade is to fool people and betray them. If our Aniocha North brothers should fall for Okowa's antics, then it's obvious that their redemption is not near.
Asking for people to vote for Sheriff was a further expression of the fact that Okowa does not wish Deltans well. No reasonable person with good intention would hand over a state like Delta to a questionable character like Sheriff. Okowa's evil plot against the people of Delta state will not prevail.
Wait a little! How does it sound to Okowa and his government to hear themselves asking for votes in Aniocha North? You want the people of Aniocha North to vote for you and your imposed candidates whereas a company that was built with the tax payers money to creat jobs for them was locked up by same Okowa? You want them to vote for you when virtually every road in Aniocha North cannot be accessed during raining season? You want them to vote for your party that killed our educational sector to a point that every public school in Aniocha North is littered with dilapidated classroom blocks! Okowa's government is a crying shame.
Same government have come up with another scam in the guise of building a company on Idumu-Inei land in Issele uku again. Over 100 plots were forcefully taken from the poor villagers without compensation, rather they used instruments of government to oppress them. A court injunction to that effect was served, yet they refused to obey. Is that the government you want the people to trust?
However, let's put the record straight on the desperate claim that APC members defected to PDP. To the best of our knowledge, the defection of Mr. Bolum Okwuchi to PDP amounts to nothing and he will not be missed at all. Let it also be noted that Bolum Okwuchi was never a member of the State executive, not to talk of being the State organising Secretary. Whoever gave such information was either leveraging on PDP's desperation or intentionally decided to mislead the PDP. The party is far better and readier without him. He was like a man on a journey to nowhere but choose to stopover at various junctions in utter confusion and frustration. Our duty is wave him bye-bye.
While we focus on our campaigns, we wish to inform the PDP that the era of rigging and thuggery is over in Aniocha North. The people will be enlightened to vote and defend their votes. We will not be distracted by the lies and misleading information that PDP are known for just to deceive the people, rather we will take our campaign to every nook and cranny of Aniocha North and Delta state with visible evidences of the failure and near hopeless situation that PDP presented to our People.
